Melanie Saxton is a professional author and ghostwriter, and former journalist and book editor, with decades of experience in the literary field. She has spent her life assisting others write their books, and now in semi-retirement, is focusing on her own manuscript.
Melanie’s technical books cover topics, such as memoirs, autobiographies, biographies, legacy books, historical fiction, and other nonfiction and fiction projects. Her corporate and nonprofit literary work emphasizes research, interviews, chronology, collaboration, and preserving the author’s voice.
Today, she focuses on her own books, specifically nonfiction “how-to’s,” Southern dramedies, and children’s books. She also helps her husband, Steve Mackey, write technical pool service and maintenance books along with his humorous industry-related novels.
Between the two, they enjoy four adult children (two daughters and two sons and their spouses), six grandsons, and a Chiweenie, a Boston terrier, and two sibling grey tabbies.
